He was previously Chief Executive of the Management Charter Initiative. He is a leading authority on business management, managing change, new economics, governance and leadership. He has written numerous management books, has a regular column in The Guardian, broadcasts on TV and radio, and contributes to international newspapers and magazines. He was Director of Manchester Business School and has acted as a consultant to organisations including Virgin and IBM.
