Roger Black represented Great Britain at the highest level in the world of athletics, both as an individual 400 metres runner and a member of the 4 x 400 metres relay team. He won fifteen major Championship medals including European, Commonwealth and World Championship Gold medals and an Olympic silver medal in the 1996.Roger overcame several serious injuries and setbacks throughout his career. He was the British men's team captain and was awarded the MBE in 1992.He is currently the BBC television athletics presenter and played a major part in the coverage of the Sydney Olympics. Having achieved both individual and team success, Roger understands the dynamics of becoming a champion.
