After Dinner Speakers: Jeremy Beadle, Donna Summer, Ardal O'Hanlon
For over 17 years Jeremy Beadle was responsible for some of the funniest and most memorable moments seen of British Television. It seems everyone has a favourite 'Beadle' clip.
Game For A Laugh, People Do The Funniest Things, Beadle's Hot Shots, Beadle's Box of Tricks, It's Beadle, Beadle's About and You've Been Framed are just a few of the hugely successful 'People' shows that Jeremy created and hosted. He recently risked his own money on Channel 5's quiz Win Beadle's Money. Out of 52 shows he lost eight times. Before TV beckoned he hosted a series of outrageous radio shows for LBC, Radio 2, Talk Radio and Capital. He shocked the lot!
Beadle has just finished his latest show 'Banged Up with Beadle' shown live on Ant and Dec's ITV show 'Saturday Night Takeaway' and broadcast on ITV2 three nights a week. Beadle was locked up in a secluded bunker, in the middle of the Channel, with a member of the public - six weeks - six different members of the public - six different tasks.
His commercial talents and presentational skills are always in great demand by major companies. His production company Usual Suspects has created sensational practical jokes, hidden camera scams and off-beat quizzes that have been the highlight of numerous conferences and exhibitions.
Indeed the love of quizzes and trivia led him to write the massive 'Today's The Day - A Chronicle of the Curious' and for over two years he scripted a daily cartoon series of the same name in the Daily Express. He worked alongside Irving Wallace and his son David Wallechinsky as European Editor and biggest contributor for the sensationally successful Book of Lists (1, 2, 3) and People's Almanac (1, 2, 3).
He wrote and hosted London's most talked about quiz 'The Atlantic Grill' and last year toured the country presenting wild, fun quizzes for Luminar Leisure in their Chicago Rock Cafes.
His most recent publication is 'The Gossip's Guide to Madame Tussauds' revealing the secret lives of 250 celebrities.
Outside his media activities, his company CamClass uniquely provides schools with a 'video year book'. Instead of the old class photo each child is individually interviewed and all the interviews placed on a single class tape. These are offered Sale or Return and 2% of all sales given to Children With Leukaemia.
