After Dinner Speakers: Heather Mills, Carl Fogarty, Jane Horrocks

Heather Mills has definitely got an interesting story to tell. Discovered when homeless, she has been a ski instructor, charity worker and at 25 wrote her autobiography 'Out on a limb'. In August 1993, Heather was involved in a road accident with a police motorcycle. Her injuries included the loss of her left leg below the knee, hence the title of her autobiography. After witnessing the outbreak of civil war in Slovenia she set up a refugee crisis centre, funded by the modelling work that she was still doing. Heather has been given many accolades and awards for her work for charity including Outstanding Young Person of the Year and in 1996 she received a nomination for a Nobel Peace Prize. If that was not enough, Heather has also done TV work presenting for programmes such as That's Esther. Heather has since also found personal happiness with ex-Beatle Sir Paul McCartney and is actually Lady McCartney but prefers to be known as Heather Mills McCartney.
