After Dinner Speakers: Duncan Goodhew, Wind & Fire Earth, Jim Watts

Duncan Goodhew is a sports person extraordinaire. At 19 he gained his first ‘cap’ for Great Britain at the Olympic Games. From then on, he built a reputation for being a committed competitor with an unsurpassed ability to ‘psyche himself up’ for races. He later won the Olympic gold medal for the 100m breast-stroke, and in 1981 he was chosen for one of the two-man bob teams for the European Championships in Austria. In 1982 he won five gold medals in the Masters Olympics in the USA. His retirement from the competitive sport has since placed him great demand by companies such as IBM, Ford, Amex, Couttes Bank, United Artists and Prudential. An inspirational and highly effective speaker.
