After Dinner Speakers: David Seaman, Bronski Beat, Eddie Irvine
Safe hands and long hair, David Seaman was brought to Arsenal by George Graham from Queen's Park Rangers, his commanding presence and organisational skills have been vital to Arsenal's legendary defensive discipline.
David Seaman began his career with Leeds United as an apprentice before having spells with Peterborough United and Birmingham City. He has won championship medals, FA and League Cup winners medals and enjoyed European glory during his time in North London.
Making his England debut in November 1988 against Saudi Arabia he has been the first choice regular keeper for Terry Venables, Glenn Hoddle, Kevin Keegan and Sven Goran Eriksson and has amassed over 60 caps for his country.
David has, like all goalkeepers, been both hero and villain, but reflects on a wonderfully long career at the top of the professional game.
