David Pearce has been Professor of Environmental Economics at University College London since 1983, and from 1991 he has been Director, and then Associate Director of CSERGE.He has a distinguished career as an author, researcher and consultant, focusing on issues such as sustainable development, waste, recycling and life cycle analysis. He has held a number of high positions, including Personal Advisor to the Secretary of State for the Environment and Commissioner of the World Commission on Forests and Sustainable Development.David is a very experienced speaker and authority on environmental and economic issues.
